What is Hopshunter?

Hopshunter is a mobile and web based application that provides a social way to explore, enjoy and experience craft beer. Hopshunter lets users tell friends the beers they’re drinking and where, and also allows users to catalog, rate and find new beers locally.

When was Hopshunter founded?

Hopshunter was founded in the winter of 2010. It was cold outside. We didn’t feel like shoveling snow. The rest is history.

Who owns Hopshunter?

Hopshunter is the product of two guys named Chris and Sam who went to college together and (ahem) possibly had a beer or two. But it wasn’t until we graduated and fell into the “real world” with paying jobs that we discovered craft beer. We haven’t looked back since. Chris is the technical mastermind and code guru. Sam is the product guy who drives him crazy with feature creep.

Why did you create Hopshunter?

We wanted to create a fun product that would allow us and our friends to share our thoughts on beer, and to be able to find new craft brews through our network of friends. Plus, the rock star gig only got as far as our living room (thank you Rockband …).
